An OPS student assistant position is available at the McTrans Center of the University of
Florida Transportation Institute (UFTI).
Job Description:
McTrans center is currently seeking an OPS student
assistant (software developer). The candidate will work closely with McTrans
staff and engineers to develop high quality software based on traffic
engineering requirements.
As the largest transportation software dissemination center
in the world, the McTrans Center develops, distributes and supports
software for traffic engineering and transportation planning applications.
Currently, McTrans is the developer for three major software
programs (HCS, TSIS-CORSIM and TRANSYT-7F) for the transportation engineering

Minimum Requirements:
- Two years of experience in C# or Java programming.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and MS
Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Solid problem solving skills.
- Available to work for at least two semesters.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing web applications using Microsoft technologies.
- Experience and knowledge of ASP, ASP.NET, HTML,
and JavaScript.
- Ability to understand and implement the requirements of
engineers while adhering to transportation research reports and manuals.
