The positions are available in the form of full-time/part-time temporary positions, for a period of at least 3 months.
Candidates with interests and/or experience in the following three areas are desired:
- Pervasive Computing in Healthcare (Area: MOBILE
DEVELOPMENT)
- Mobile programming (iOS
and Android development):
- Preferably experienced
in swift / java
- Preferably familiar
with wearable data
- Scalability of Large-scale Healthcare Applications
(Area: CLOUD )
- Cloud infrastructure
(e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure)
- Large-scale computing
frameworks (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform)
- Large-scale Security and Privacy (Area: SECURITY )
- Security configuration
management (e.g., Cloud Security)
- Vulnerability
management (e.g., verify, mitigate, patch mechanisms)
- Anonymized genetic data
sharing (e.g., encryption, anonymization techniques)
- Web application (Area: WEB DEVELOPMENT)
- Proficiency in HTML,
CSS , JavaScript, Go, and Ruby for rapid prototyping
- Proficiency in
Databases (e.g., SQL)
- API web integration

The Stanford Healthcare Innovation Lab (SHIL) is applying our expertise on the science and ethics of genomics to build a new collaborative model of science focused on transforming the practice of medicine. This new paradigm of patient-centered medicine monitors the entire genome of individuals to vastly improve disease prediction, prevention, and treatment of conditions such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, asthma, schizophrenia, and many others.
