A position is available in the Plant Pathology Department to evaluate software for either discovering and analyzing patterns in genomes of interest or predicting outcomes using hyperspectral images. Analysis pipelines providing examples of desired inputs and outputs will be provided to guide the evaluation of alternative approaches.
The role requires experience working in the HiPerGator environment and programming with Python. Familiarity with R would be beneficial. The position will work from home 10 to 20 hours per week for the Fall 2020 term and may be extended. Weekly reviews with the PI will evaluate progress.
