Dr. Karen Hicklin (Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering) and Dr. Jeremy Waisome (Lecturer in the Department of Engineering Education) are looking for a graduate student who is interested in community-based participatory research to support the UF Program Advancing Racial Justice Through Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access at the University of Florida sponsored project to explore experiences of Black undergraduate engineering students at UF using Photovoice. You will have a chance to explore qualitative research methodologies and data collection. You will engage in evidence-based strategies for data collection and analysis on a topic that is important to the University of Florida community. There are possibilities for publications and future research studies, if interested. The position will be for 100 hours at $12/hr. No previous experience with community-based participatory research is needed. Prior experience with qualitative research data analysis and strong interpersonal skills are desired.
